Alison is unique in the group in coming from a long family tradition of silhouette cutting; she learned the art from her grandmother in America at a young age! Skilled in all things paper, she is also an accomplished paper folder & origami artist. Alison studied graphics and jewellery design Alison and has worked with us for many years as a Roving Artist.

Based in London, she especially enjoys working at weddings and company fun days, and is conveniently placed to travel to events anywhere around London & the south of England.

Alison's silhouettes have a slightly nostalgic air, as if walking from the pages of history, and are heavily influenced by the American tradition of silhouette cutting. She also has a great sense of fun! Her cheerful and friendly approach will add an intriguing appeal to any event.

• Mosaic; Alison has worked with various mosaic projects at schools all over the world.
• Origami; Alison is a member of the British Origami Society and a keen amateur origami artist.

Main artistic influences:

• Mary Lou Russell, the well known American silhouettist, and also Alison's grandmother!
